Realistically, this is what I expected from Schloss for a few years. He lucked out last year with some awesome transfers that really filled in some holes, but we all knew he was going to need time to build his program here.
People are just whiny because we greatly exceeded expectations last year (miraculously), and then lost a good portion of our team and are left with an incredibly young team again.

Did Schloss spend the off-season at the camp of Jimbo??? Seems like we are wasting a talented team this year. Seems like a theme in our men's athletic programs…

And I don't know if it's true or not, but I can imagine him knowing this season is a rebuilding year and he might do some things he wouldn't in a year where we're trying to make a serious playoff run.
I've no idea.
But he's done some stuff that's seemed really odd if that's not the case.

They give us a ground ball but it's hit so damn weak we can't turn two.

Not getting an out on a routine ground ball to SS (because of the shift) has cost 2 runs. Still not a ball out of the infield this inning.

No doubt. It's incredibly frustrating to watch.
It's also incredibly frustrating to read the amount of posts saying he should be better than this this year. No- this is really what was expected for a few years (and was certainly what we all anticipated happening last year)
