Agreed, this is almost never called.

Didn't we have a case recently where the 1B was a full 3 feet off the base and still called out?

You have to control what you can control in baseball....and that ain't the umps. Let's get it done next inning. No one is going to get all calls right, and I am not sure that call at 2nd would have been overturned, even with replay, which I wish college ball would implement. I never saw a camera angle that said he was wrong on the call, as much as I would like to believe it.

Should have said, implement replay for more things....

We have replay in football and basketball, should be baseball too!! Ump at first base screwed us in game 3 of Ole Miss imo. Cost us a title. Its wrong imo.

Yeah, I don't really understand that either....if you can review whether or not something is a catch, why can't you review anything....seems about the same as out/safe at first, etc....anything other than balls/strikes, really.

The issue is that not all schools in the conference would have the capability camera-wise to institute a replay system in baseball.

Only argument I can see for not reviewing runner/throw plays at bases is sound can't be used like the umps can use on the field. Like when the ball hits the glove.
