Let me rephrase. I am an alumnus and I walk up and purchase a GA ticket. Can I sit in 201-204?

No. 201-204 is the student section.

So we're clear, it's only in the last 5-8 years that it's been a combined section. It has not always been that way.

As a follow up to Wildmen's question, can a random person not buy a reserved ticket and then sit in 201-204 instead?

That's great for my wife and I, but you guys have just pissed off 50%+ of the former residents of GA. I doubt they are interested in sitting in the outfield.

I guess being a career student has finally paid off.

This is total BS. Raise hell texags. TicketAG is full of sheet too. I have sat in the same seat in those sections since I graduated in 1997. That is FIFTEEN freaking years, not 5-7. Like I said, get to work texags!

This wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue if a) the ticket office was forthcoming, b) the ticket website worked, and c) this wasn't blatantly contradicted by the seating chart.

And fwiw, I'm a current student and still annoyed at how a lot of the people who helped me learn the ropes at Olsen would get screwed over by this.

Agree with this 100%. I don't agree at all with the idea of making that change, but if you're going to do it the least you can do is A) explain the reasons for making that change and B) make sure EVERYONE and their freaking cousin knows that the change is being made. Neither of those things have happened, hence you're going to have a lot of confused and pissed off people. And rightfully so, IMO.

I am a recent grad and would like to sit with my sisters, who are current students, but I guess I have to sit alone now...

Also, part of the reason I drive two hours to the baseball games is to enjoy the fun atmosphere in the student section.

By far THE stupidest idea I've ever heard at A&M baseball. What an awful thing to do. Way to screw over all the faithful.

I also want to know, if the "student" section covers just students with all sports passes ot all students with a student ID. Cuz if an id is all we need well I got that covered. And if it is only students with all sports passes then you better believe the Aggie athletic office will wish they didn't start this crap.

I like how AT has conveniently disappeared. Obviously this kind of throws a wrench in my whole plan for the weekend but let's pretend none of this conversation about the "student section" happened and go back to my question about what time people are planning to line up to buy tickets on Friday.

I'm not too happy about this. They made a drastic change to GA which was always communicated as GA until now, 2 days before opening day. It was kept hush-hush. I'm not gonna worry though, I have two or three cards I can play...

Ticket office is doing nothing but showing their rear end on this one. I've been attending games since the late 80's, and those sections have always been treated as just GA.

Not everyone can play the Bromance with the first base coach card, Statboy.

If they enforce this, it will be a bad day to be an usher.
