This is a good day.

Now my one small request for the new hire is to have the players out on the court for the national anthem.

We'll see what happens but glad it didn't drag out longer.

6 year deal. I am not sure we would have extended him to that level.

If I had a nickel for every time Maryland took our basketball coach.

I'd have two, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

Hope we knock this hire out of the park.

He left because he was going to go through at minimum a two year rebuild, the way he recruits, and he wouldn't have had nearly as good of an option as Maryland when he got fired.

A&M basketball has now entered the 21st century

Good riddance. The last handful of Aggie MBB teams have been old and mostly untalented, who peak in January and are in near free-fall by March. This is a team that went 3-6 in its last nine games -- we beat Yale (midmajor that I won't dog too much -- username checks out), LSU (worst in the SEC), and Auburn (caught napping before their final 4 run).

Thankful for his service and for some decent seasons, but I'm sick of A&M paying him top 10 money to never make the second weekend in his 6 seasons here. We can do better!

That said, I find myself feeling relieved that it is turning out this way. I was getting an uneasy feeling that if Buzz stuck around for another year, it wouldn't be a pleasant one - for him or the Ags.

Now I'm excited for the future of Aggie Basketball.

The buy out paid to A&M for loosing Buzz is very small.
The big buy outs are when A&M tries to fire a coach which didn't happen here.

Whoever we hire will be the darling of the press conference but will be underwhelming at best. We are fast becoming Nebraska of the south in all sports....a freaking doormat.

The revolving door with coaches, presidents, and athletic directors should be obvious to everyone of the culture problem that exists at Texas A&M. Its hard to be this inept without trying to be. **** us!!!!
