So what are the thoughts?
Lateness?
Locker room discord?
Insubordination?
Weed/Booze?
"Indefinitely" is pretty stout language. Has to be something major. Or, maybe Buzz is trying to make an example?
Hello Gordon, Goodbye Starks.wacarnolds said:Morpholino said:
I'm gonna say it. The PG position at TAMU is officially cursed.
Nah. Just some young kids struggling with off court aspects of the game.
Caruso was great at PG and Gordon looks very promising.
The post was asking people to speculate. "Thoughts?"Inca said:wacarnolds said:Callate Donnie said:

No benefit to this sort of speculation. Obviously TJ made a mistake and Buzz is holding him accountable, hopefully everything works out in the end.
Um, he was arrested for possession of marijuana. That's not speculation.
That must be how he bypassed this cursebobinator said:

Pretty sure Buzz said something to the effect of if he plays this season like 2 or 3 weeks ago.Oakland Ag said:
Didn't they use indefinite for Nebo's injury timeline too?
Haha, what? I guess you aren't familiar with Buzz's track record.GrayMatter said:
TJ has got to understand that the sh*t that he may gotten away with before, will not work against Buzz.
Ah. Well, there ya go. Honestly, WGAS?Tobias Funke said:Quote:
According to Brazos County jail records, Starks was arrested Thursday for alleged possession of marijuana of fewer than two ounces. He was released on a $2,000 bond. No other information was immediately available.

These players all have been told a thousand times what they can and cannot do, so I got no sympathy for the players who skip class, smoke pot, etc. they knew what would happen if they got caught and they still did it, and that is that.
Starks is now in pole position to be a transfer portal candidate. Simple as that.
I got a 20 year old, 18 year old, and 9 year old. I'm fully aware of how a teenager's mind works and completely understand that they are partly 'brain damaged'.RoundballFan said:Pumpkinhead said:

I don't think anyone should feel bad for Starks he made A mistake and now he's going to have to reap the consequences.
I don't know if you have kids or not but they make dumb mistakes sometimes and they may make them more than once. What you have to find out is if they're willing to take the leadership and guidance available so as to grow up and learn from those mistakes. We'll see.

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- Texas A&M University basketball player TJ Starks has been suspended indefinitely following a drug arrest by College Station police.
The team announced the suspension Thursday following the 21-year-old's arrest.
According to a probable cause report, Tahjon Komar Starks was stopped around midnight by an officer after he made an illegal wide right turn at Holleman Drive and Wellborn Road.
Police said they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. When officers asked Starks if there was marijuana in the vehicle, he denied it.
Police searched the vehicle and found three baggies of marijuana weighing a total of two grams.
Starks was booked into the Brazos County Detention Center and was released on a $2,000 bond.
I'm a current student, midday today, a friend told me the basketball team was passing out free whataburger in the Wellborn tunnel, then 2 hours later, another friend told me Starks was arrested for possession of weed at Whataburger, so it kinda checks out.Callate Donnie said:

It's just a bull**** technicality they can get you on when you turn right and dont turn directly into the rightmost lane, I'm guessing they just turned from the rightmost lane, into the second rightmost lane, like a lot of people do all the time. Its a standard move to try to profile or screen drivers for drugs and alcohol, similar to like pulling someone over for failure to signal or something.bobinator said:
How does one even make an illegal wide right turn at Wellborn and Holleman?
I got pulled over by CSPD making a wide right turn onto Texas from Harvey because I turned into the middle lane and there's a double right there, but I guess he had to have turned into the turn lane?

If you're driving between the hours of 11:00PM-6:00AM follow the road laws to a tee. They're looking to pull anyone and everyone over and check for a DUI. Yes, getting a possession charge slapped on you for a "wide right turn" certainly sucks, but the practice of going after every minor traffic violation may take the drunk/high driver off the road that otherwise would've hit you or someone you care about. That practice isn't unique to CSPD and I'm glad they do it.

I was a college student in this town also, hell I even got arrested IN Reed Arena, so I know it can be annoying. I'm just saying it's not exclusive to A&M. It's how most college towns are.
