Mario Brown. Some old Baylor lady sitting on the front row at the Heart of Texas Coliseum bashed him over the head with her purse when he crashed into her chasing a ball.

He coaches in the Houston area and is in the Texas Basketball hall of fame. Our kids were roommates as fish last year...

Chuck was probably obscure (to many/even most Ags), but a regular player, and important cog during his three years on varsity. If he didn't start much as a sophomore, he played at least half of the minutes even then. May not have been all-conference, but he was a very solid player complimenting Steve Niles (after Ronnie Peret).

Roddy McAlpine might be a better choice.

My neighbor growing up in San Antonio. Great guy! Ended up really good friends with his daughter in the same grade as me. We dunked our rings together before the Tennessee game in 2016 on Simpson! Its funny to see people on here that know him from his playing days

Randy Matson.

And Joe Arciniega was originally from Southern California, not Dallas. I was a proud member of Arciniega's Army. The crowd would start chanting for Coach Metcalf to put him in near the end of games that were clearly won or lost. Here is a link to his career stats: https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/joe-arciniega-1.html. Has any other Aggie sub ever engendered such love from the fans?

Tyren Naulls.
Great moment: late in a tight game against a good TCU team, he decided to take control. Dribbling at the top of the key, he suddenly drives the lane through traffic and slams it over the stunned frogs, seizing the momentum and sealing the victory.

Haven't heard that name in many, many years. He was my counselor at A&M basketball camp in 1983 or 1984. A few things I remember:

- We watched the NBA draft on TV and Naulls was drafted by the NJ Nets in fifth round. We went nuts, but he was pretty subdued.
- John Thornton ran the camp. We barely saw Shelby Metcalf at all.
- MTV was fairly new and we watched the same songs over and over.

Played against Jack and Ware. Cook didn't miss at the REC but didn't seem to do much in real games.
