Think Bennie Lenox led the SWC in scoring for a season or more with ~ 25 ppg average in the '62-'64 era. He was far from obscure. I cut my teeth on Aggie basketball listening to him and John Beasley torch SWC opponents with their scoring skills back then. We've never had a better pure shooter than Bennie, and big John was deadly from the top of the key with his line-drive jump shot.

Agreed, and didn't mean to imply he was obscure. He's actually one of the greatest players to ever don an Aggie uniform. Just noting we've had two all-time greats from Clear Creek, as Overhouse has his name in the record book for rebounding - but many don't remember him.
