Not getting riled up about it, it's just a ridiculously dumb stance to think that a 20-win Big-12 team with a Top 50 RPI might get left out. It just doesn't happen.

I don't know how anyone would put big xii as top basketball conference this year. I would rank them a solid 4th.

Big xii has 3 good teams. Look at their head to head vs SEC and a top 3 SEC team didn't even play. That TCU/Tech game was hard to watch. Squarely a bubble team at 20 wins.

Big Ten or Big East? Cause the Big Ten is absolute trash this year outside of Wisconsin and Purdue. That's the reason Wisconsin is #7 in the nation but not in the Top 16 NCAA teams.

Probably because there are only two teams in that league that are truly bad. It is top heavy this year, but there's a whole lot of "pretty good."

I would say big 10 and 12 are similar strengths. Purdue and Wisconsin, then Maryland. You also have NW and MSU always comes on strong. They don't have a Texas or OU team that is several games under 500. I think the big xii is a 5-6 team bid league. The top 3 and then 2 out of isu, ksu, TCU, OSU. If OSU wins out, they can make it 6 bid league

All of those teams are probably getting in. I haven't done the schedule math on that group, but unless they all only play each other or something I think they'll be alright.

And the Big 10 might be similar in its depth, but it doesn't have anyone at the top like the Big 12 does. It also has some absolutely garbage teams. Even Oklahoma and Texas are in the top 80 on KenPom.

In short, the Big Ten has four teams worse than anyone in the Big 12 and then Big 12 has three teams better than anyone in the Big Ten

I actually am with you in thinking the Big 12 isn't as good as people think, but I'm not with you on the Big Ten. If I had to rank the conferences now:

1. ACC
2. Pac
3. Big 12

GAP

4. Big Ten
5. Big East (Creighton and Butler have fallen off)
6. SEC

Edit: and I'm even doubting myself putting the Pac 12 above the Big 12. That's all off my belief that Oregon/Zona/UCLA trio is better than KU/Baylor/WV trio. Any of the bottom 6 of the Pac might be worse than the Sips and OU.

Not sure where the big 12 should tank but the basketball in that league is excellent. I can't believe how many great games occur in that league every week.

A game tonight involving teams likely on the good side of the NCAA bubble watch as of now:

Oklahoma St. wins a road game against TCU in Fort Worth. The Cowboys outscored TCU 8-2 in the last 3 minutes of the game to win 71-68.

In his first spring on the job, Woodward went to more football practices in the first week than Hyman went to in his 3-4 years at A&M. He was at the practice fields for most of the spring practices last year.
