If it was just the record you'd probably be right, but I don't see how Hyman can overlook the attendance. Averaging less than 5k/game is incomprehensibly bad. Even Watkins managed to clear 6 during the 0-16 season.

You know ADs never admit they are thinking about firing a coach until that coach is fired, don't you?

If you do not think BK is on the hot seat, you are in denial or likely a friend or family member. The guy will not be back next year barring a miracle, unless Hyman all of sudden decides he likes the idea of missing the postseason yet again and averaging crowds around 3k.

Not a friend or family member, and definitely would not be surprised if he got let go. But I maintain that The ultimatum was never issued. Brent Z has never provided any shrewd of anything approaching evidence.

I at least know where they get their information. Sources tell me that BZ's source is the fake Devante Harris.

Cool. You listen to people who all have a vested interest in spin other than an objective sports journalist covering the program who had his own sources and isn't pressured to spin.

Thats not to say their info or words aren't valuable, but it speaks volumes as to understanding your perspective.

I would rather listen to people whose sources are actually IN the athletic department than so-called reporters who get their "facts" from second hand sources who have no direct contact with the AD.

And anyone who has followed BZ since the fallout of him spreading that rumor wouldn't claim that he is an "objective journalist"

Come on. BZ has been reporting on the ags for forever. He's got sources in the AD. And he's too professional to report something like that if he didn't have it from a fairly reliable source.

My guess is that he reported somebody's educated opinion (i.e. somebody saying "the thinking around here is basically Kennedy needs to make the postseason or he's done, and Kennedy's aware that that's the pretty much the standard"). I doubt there was ever a threatening, cut and dry ultimatum because that's not generally the way ADs work.

But it's highly likely that something very similar was said.

I'm sad to say that I think our ace AD will retain him and give him at least a 1 yr, if not 2yr extension unless we get destroyed in these final games. It would take nearly an epic feat of losing out for Hyman to pull the plug.

Hope I'm wrong but I've accepted it as a likely outcome.
