Onions and mushrooms in a skillet with butter, black pepper, garlic powder, and a splash of red wine. Simmer until the mushrooms and onions get soft and release their juices, and pour that goodness over your chop steak. Only takes about 6 or 7 minutes and its damn delicious.

Google merlot simmered mushrooms and add those with a well seasoned properly cooked chopped steak and Ill take that over a ribeye or strip any day.

No. A cubed steak is flattened and tenderized. It's what you would use for chicken fried steak. A chopped steak is like a hamburger steak (think Salisbury steak).

I will sometimes order the "Roadkill" at Texas Roadhouse. It's fairly tasty.

Pro Tip: Have them serve it with two strips of bacon and grilled jalapenos on top!

It usually has more crap in it than a hamburger patty. A better comparison would be meatloaf or a meatball, just flattened into steak form.

Yes it is, and the version from the 80's and early 90's was absolutely the best. They changed it up a bit when all the changes went on, but still real good.
