gulf shrimp and blue crab salad on focaccia with housemade potato chips and some kind of slaw at local foods in houston.
What did you think of it? My wife had it on our one trip to Local Foods, and I had the roast beef sandwich. I thought the roast beef was quite possibly the worst I've ever had (a lot of connective tissue and little to no seasoning). The crab salad was also lacking in salt as well IMO. One of my tomato slices was a top, so that's another negative for the trip.

I've been on enough of 'em to recognize those S&P shakers and the table numbers.

So yesterday after a very turbulent flight into Atlanta, I stopped at the Porter beer bar for a few "calm my nerves" drinks and then walked over to the always delicious Vortex for a burger. I went with my old favorite, the Double Coronary Bypass burger, which includes a half pound of beef, two fried eggs, six slices of cheese, eight slices of bacon, a pile of mayo, and topped off with two grilled cheese sandwiches for buns.

It moved. A lot.

So Spent some time in California this weekend and wanted to share some dishes we truly enjoyed and the restaurants they were found out. Sorry if some of these already had bites taken out of it, had to try it first before it was worth of a picture
First off - THE “BEST DAMN CRAB CIOPPINO” from Sotto Mare in Little Italy of San Francisco http://sottomaresf.com/Sotto_Mare_Seafood_Restaurant/Home.html It was amazing, Crab, mussels, clam, calamari, shrimp, and all kinds of stuff in a pot. Yum!
Next a beautiful Prosciutto and Mozzarella Sandwich w/Sun Dried Tomato's and Basil Pesto Spread from Molinari Deli again in Little Italy of San Fran - Sorry for no ring in the picture, still a lil swollen from the plane ride lol.
Finally we went to Sauce in San Francisco's Financial District for a late dinner and got Sauce’s Fried Chicken Breast & Wing w/ Truffled Mushrooms & Green Beans Whipped Potato & Pan Gravy, as well as their Crab Roll and Fries.

Sorry about the original size. I thought I had changed it. Hopefully this works right.

I made this for breakfast two Saturdays ago. Grilled Cheese Eggsplosion. I cut holes in the middle of two slices of bread, fried an egg in each over easy, then put a couple of slices of cheese on top one and made a sandwich. Got the idea from SeriousEats.com http://www.seriouseats.com/2011/02/eggs-in-a-hole-grilled-cheese-breakfast-sandwich-eggsplosion.html
