Basically 10% off, 225+tax. It's my dad's favorite.

Online shop. The Chappellets aren't magnums. They just put their Pritchard Hill Cab in a big bottle as they do their Cab Franc. I do have some Chappellet mags too tho
Yep, this was the 170th. I got the last bottle at a Sigels/Twin Liquors in Dallas according to their computer. I have had it a number of times and loved it.bularry said:new release (170th edition)?GarlandAg2012 said:bularry said:

I've only had Krug on a couple of occasions, but found it to be really, really incredible
being "sold out" is a huge mktg effort for wineries.... most are rarely really sold outgonemaroon said:
Back to the Scarecrow e-mail -
Apparently they needed to sell some wine - got all the way down to myself and they sold the entire wish list.
Odd thing is/was, about 2 months ago I asked if I could buy some of their wine and auction it off at a charity thing I am in charge of (wasn't asking for anything for me or for free) and they said no way - nothing at all for sale.
Then this list comes out and they played whack-a-mole with me.

Yup. "Sold out" means "we're not selling any more right now." It doesn't mean "we don't have any".
I'm often "sold out" of wines that I have a case of on the shelf in front of me.

Right. But I wouldn't say it's a marketing gimmick or anything like that. I mean there are legit reasons to keep wines in your library.
