Mass-production of classic Piquette, without additions of other fruits or fillers, would be a challenge, Lapalus notes. Most producers currently making it (the vast majority of whom are based in North America and Australia) are making it on micro-scales of hundreds, or single-digit thousands of bottles and cans. Hard seltzer, meanwhile has sold $2.7 billion worth of product in the 52-week period ending June 13, 2020 alone, according to Nielsen.

We had a piquette discussion a while back, right? Anyways, just read this article and figured some of y'all might find it interesting.

I imagine there is some kind of seasonality in what we're all drinking. Summer probably more white and rose and lighter reds, holidays and winters maybe the bigger reds. Questions for the thread!
- Do you have a seasonality in your wine drinking? Varietal, maybe even amount, etc.
- If so, what are you into in the fall?
For me, I really like sauvignon blanc, however I really only find myself wanting it around summer time. Doesn't sound as good to me in January. I will drink Pinot year round, and Zinfandel is one I think I can have year round as well. I probably have more cab/syrah/etc. between October and March than I do between April and September.
As for the fall, I start getting more into some Italian reds this time of year.
I grabbed a few of the Napa. Decided to forego the other two, but i give myself 50/50 odds that I'll break and place another order before the window closes.BSD said:
William & Mary order is in. I went heavy on the cabs and got my traditional amount of the Prop. Good friend and good wine...easy choice.

There's only the two of us, so we can't do the "different wine for each course" thing.cecil77 said:Quote:

I think that's really the way wine drinking should work. Along with having a different wine each course of a meal.
Sadly, Diana and I have, as is too common, settling into the "big red rut". We're trying. We opened a Sauv Blanc with green enchiladas last night. Good with the meal, but we're still not there just enjoying the vast variety of wines.

Speaking of fall orders, my shipment from Pott just showed up. It's going to be a good weekend!
