I haven't had their most recent one, but I know the master distiller. He is a Tech grad and knew him when I lived in Lubbock, many years ago. They have won a bunch of awards for that whiskey.
The bottle I have is very unique. Got some notes of nut and vanilla. I like it, but the unique profile will throw some folks off. Best distillery in Texas IMO, but I admit I am biased.

had a pour of the 2023 and 2024 Woodford Double Double whilest onsite. Quite tasty.

Balmorhea for me, but I prefer toasted barrel finish over double oaked. ECTB is tasty.
I ask this knowing that Woodford Doube Oaked, especially if you can get single barrel or private selection, is one of the best value pours on the market.
Of 1910. If we are talking readily available. Woodford is great too.
I'm a big fan of the RC Spanish oak, Woodford double oaked is really good too. I've not had the Peerless DO though. I'm not sure if it's considered double oaked, but the Fiddler cask strength TW pick is awesome. I believe they still have it too, the nose sets up the flavor profile perfectly.
I do think ECTB is increasing significantly in availability. My local specs had it on the regular shelf the other day not even their "allocated" end cap.

Their regular bourbon offering tasted like water to me. I gave it away.
There's nothing special about it. It's just another solid middle of the road product imo.

My favorite is the 1792 Port Finish.
I've got a sweet wheat with probably one pour out of it that I would give away for retail cost. Not my flavor profile. But I really like the full proof
The port was good. No where near the secondary value but had a nice finish without being overdone. MWND is my favorite port finish

If only those weren't impossible to find or $300 on secondary.
The Sweet Wheat is good, but I would put Aged 12 Years, Single Barrel, and Full Proof more. (In that order)

The prices at S&S in Bryan are outrageous. Full secondary plus a little for the house.
They did say there was some wiggle room if you purchase more than one bottle from their allocation section. I didn't even try to push it.
