Debating hitting Smith St Specs at lunch tomorrow.

I hate bugging staff on something that's probably long gone. But if these are the rules they want to play by, I guess they deserve to be bugged relentlessly?

There are no rules. What usually works for me is just having a genuine conversation with said employee every so often as your schedule allows. Sometimes I don't even mention anything about bourbon or alcohol. They know you are a tater and want to drink good bourbon, you don't have to remind them every time you enter the store. Sometimes I walk out with nothing, sometimes they ask "hey, I just got this in….would you be interested?"

People like hooking up nice people.

We're headed to Durango next week. Driving from Houston through FW, Wichita Falls, Amarillo, and Albequerque. Anyone have any good spots along the way to grab a SP or two?

Any anything I should grab in Colorado that I cant get in TX?

I'll try again and see if anyone has tried this bottle? Again I'm limiting my purchases for the year, so I have to make it count lol.

Do you like light whiskeys? If so go for it, but for me personally i were limiting my purchases for the year (and actually doing it instead of just telling myself that) i would probably pass. It would just be too much of a gamble on how much i would like it.

Appreciate the response! I've never had a light whiskey, but from what I understand it's good for people (like my wife) who are not a fan of the barrel flavors of older whiskey. So far I've managed 2 months without buying a bottle. My kids think it's cheating that I'm using birthday money to buy a bottle lol.

I got a light whiskey from Ry3 - it was incredible. My wife thought so too. High proof but didn't drink that hot and the flavor was fantastic.

I wish I had gotten more than 1.
