I was at Smith Specs yesterday afternoon and nothing special going on. Didn't even see anything in people's carts.

Specs in Houston claims they use the call list for bottles down to Blantons. They use to keep other stuff like ER EHT in the back, but around here they just put stuff out on a special shelf.

Man I can't imagine what some of these multi-bottle lots go for. The sum will def. be larger than the parts. no doubt there will be those willing to extremely overpay in order to get a set of something in one fail swoop.

Passed on a Buffalo Trace experimental bottle last night. They wanted $450 for the 375ml bottle. He had another version that sold for $250. I'm not sure what was the difference. I'm kicking around getting a Penelope 15 year light whiskey. He has it for $99. Any thoughts on this bottle? I'm trying to minimize my purchases this year, but was given money to buy a bottle for my birthday lol.

No Blantons is bad, but, I think that Blantons Straight From The Barrel is the only one truly worth paying for and seeking out.
