THH is one of the best tasting rye whiskeys out there. They are always fantastic and you would not be disappointed to open it an consume it.
You just have to figure out what you want more- drinking it or selling it for profit. Prior to HD takeover in Houston, it was almost not an option to get one at cost without hookups. If it were me, i would drink it.

It's a Sherry finish this year - I found that to be a strong note in there. I thought BO8 was better but I have enjoyed BO9!

Can you buy midwinter from High West at the distillery any time you go or is it only certain times that they release?

Anyone got any bourbon "resolutions" for this year? Bottles you want to try, distillery tours you want to take, etc.

Over the last year or so I've really become a fan of American Single Malts. Having sold most of my bottles in preparation of moving if a few weeks, i'll have to build my collection back up and will be buying a lot more of that.

The other thing I want to do is focus on buying stuff im going to drink rather than let sit unopened. I had way too many bottles of stuff that i bought only because it was available.

Old Forester is probably my favorite distillery but I have yet to find/try the single barrel barrel strength blue labels. That is at the top of my list. I wanna go see Still Austin.

Pretty excited to crack this one from my travels for NYE

Total impulse buy but when else am I gonna have the chance? Will be fun to pour a taste for friends when they come over

Its a hell of a novelty. Thankfully it is smoked before it is distilled.

I was in CA. Was able to find some good deals an stuff like Blanton's was somewhat available. Not sure how it is in Texas but i believe that someone else runs the liquor stores and not costco themselves.

This is true. Costco can't even sell their Kirkland branded vodka, bourbon etc. in Texas even at a non Costco owned liquor store.

Yes separate company called WB. The one in north Fort Worth dropped an epic BTAC/Pappy collection one morning a couple weeks ago.

The ones in Dallas are terrible.

Costco here in Aggieland has no liquor. Something about that Costco used all their TABC licenses, and can't get more.

From what i understand, there is a law in Texas that prevents public corporations from selling alcohol which is why Costco doesn't operate their stores here. Im guessing it has nothing to do with them but rather some TABC/Texas Law BS
