I've enjoyed the Stagg B22, but I can only compare it to the batch 15, which was supposed to be one of the best along with 12. I think for my taste it's slightly better than the 15, my coworker thought the opposite and my wife thought they were both awesome.

Opened up the Balcones Single Malt bottle i bought earlier this year for 30 bucks. After having a couple of drinks of it over the weekend i still can't decide if i like it or if it is the worst thing i have ever had.
It reminds me of standing by a fan in a metal building in the dead of summer. The flavors are about as bold as that air feels (and for something that is only 106 proof it is about as hot as it is as well.) You can definitely taste that good old Oak flavor form the Texas heat as well.
As someone who loves American Single Malts this is pretty different than any one i have previously had. I don't think i can recommend it for the MSRP but if you find it cheap and want something different it might be something to try. It is so bold that im sure some people will love it and others will think it is trash.
