I really tend to like toasted barrel products, so it's one of my favorites, but I can see how a lot wouldn't care of it. I can especially see proof heads hating it. I could've gotten some BP last week at the distillery, but they only had B23, so I passed.
I did get a couple bottles of Henry McKenna that I've never been able to snag before. At the tasting they said it was the exact same recipe as EW BiB, but aged 10+ years vs. the 4 that EW gets.
I'd say typically the HH BiB, ECTB, ECBP have all been in a starter allocated field somewhat like Blanton's, ER, and EHT. Not incredible products (though I personally like them all), and IMO not worth secondary prices, but at retail, they're all a solid buy for me. Though I'm cheap and ECBP & Blanton's are at about my typical limit.
