I've shipped in the summer quite a few times, although it does make me nervous with this heat. I typically ship on a Monday so that the package is delivered by the end of the week, Friday, and not forced to sit over the weekend in the heat of a warehouse, cargo truck or box truck. I also use a fairly large box with a lot of bubble wrap and foam peanuts so that the bottle is well insulated. Knock on wood, I haven't had any issues.MarathonAg12 said:
So, a couple people have reached out to me with their concerns about shipping. I ship bottles all the time, but with this heat wave in Texas.....I am going to tap the breaks a little.
Anyone have any advice on summer shipping? Is it better just to wait for the Fall? Or is it not as risky as I'm making it out to be.
I disdain shipping Blanton's in any weather.
With Blanton's, I've seen folks use large zip ties and run them through the legs of the horse topper. That and wrapping them heavily seems to work well from what I have seen.
