Honestly the first time trying the double barrel was at the actual pick. We tried four samples in total. Ours definitely tasted different then the other samples but I think we chose the best option.

OLC still has a case minus of the Old Forester pick and a few bottles of the Old Ezra 7 Rye. Buddy kept talking up the Ezra Rye so I decided to give it a chance.

This limited edition kit (SRP: $129.99) will be available for purchase starting June 30 at the Four Roses Visitor Centers in Lawrenceburg and Coxs Creek, Kentucky, and will roll out in select retailers in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, and California starting in mid-July.

These are going to be hot hot hot on the Texas secondary markets.

Sure wish they would have had that when I was there in April. Four Roses was definitely the most disappointing tasting/gift shop that we visited.

Their bar is pretty good, and lots of historical stuff. But gift shop and available bottles was disappointing.

The tasting we did was definitely nothing special. However at the bar you can always get the LE releases and some of the SiB barrel strength recipes.

So, a couple people have reached out to me with their concerns about shipping. I ship bottles all the time, but with this heat wave in Texas.....I am going to tap the breaks a little.

Anyone have any advice on summer shipping? Is it better just to wait for the Fall? Or is it not as risky as I'm making it out to be.

I disdain shipping Blanton's in any weather.

Wrap them with heavy duty Saran from top to bottom so the cork doesn't pop. You can also use foam freeze packs. They don't keep it cold, but they help from not exploding haha.

I generally don't ship in the summer unless it is within a two day delivery window.
