It sounded to me like this was successful enough for them to do more like it. Good food, good "tour" (one big single warehouse so basically just showing the process), and lots of time to just chat with the two of them. Oh, and good whiskey. I took home two bottles of the distillery only Single Barrel. #216 was picked by the various Houston groups, and it's dang good. Wish they could make enough of these to distribute since it's a little hike from Rosenberg to 249.

What does W12 look like y'all keep talking about? Weller with 12 year somewhere on it?

Have you tried Jim Beam Black though? I hear it's the top bourbon in the world now. You should definitely try that one.

I got a handle and plan on making some good ol PMP with some OWA that I have.

For the record, I like OWA slightly better than W12... and I like them both better than many other bourbons that I have that cost way more. I'm definitely a wheater.

On a new barrel I would agree but mine has been used to age quite a bit

I'm afraid it's probably too late already. Went to a couple stores and they were out... I scored on my last stop, but they were all limit 1 per person

FYI, I think Specs was the first stores to get this shipment. I spoke to some places I picked it up last fall and they didn't see it yet. However. I also don't know if this shipment is as big as the fall.

The specs bourbon guy said their next shipment will be around Christmas

I finally got to try WLW Thursday night at Julep. It may be my favorite that I've had. It's too bad I can't justify secondary prices to get a bottle.

I'm headed out to twin & maybe specs after lunch. I gotta get in on this hunting.

The specs guy said they got 3 cases of blantons in this week and one case went to the employees, the rest went to the lotto

For those who really want W12, Liquor Depot in Rowlett had a 750 for $100. I said thanks but no thanks.

If anyone wants to C+S W12 or OWA - I'd be interested. We could even trade, we have lots of blantons up here as well as a ton of Four Rose casknstrength

I got a10 and 12 specs pick. Both failed to meet expectations. I probably won't be buying anymore.

I had some of the 10 at rough draught and it was pretty good. Probably overpriced though

I don't mind doing it, just want the hassle reciprocated. There is a place in town that has the best OESV I've ever had for 51.99+tax

Same place has all the other yeast strains as well. They have just gotten a blantons store pick that I am hoping to pick up this week

Old World is the only one I like but not worth the price.

Bought a bottle of Ben Milam single barrel bourbon. Smooth with great flavors as advertised but a little pricey.

PSA: Lakewood Medallion (Dallas) has a super tasty Four Roses Single Barrel store pick - OBSF. They also have a bunch of Blantons minis.

Specs on Smith Street has W12 allocated if anyone is looking for some.

Can someone keep checking all the Costco WB for the store pick Blantons. Then report back.

Any Weller 12 left in DFW?
