Good to know. The one store I've spent the most time at because it's the closest independently owned just doesn't seem to get any good stuff. Their prices are all over the place too. Stagg Jr for 50 is about right while EH Taylor Single Barrel and Small Batch run 100, which is the highest I've ever seen it in a store. It may be time to find a new place to frequent.

For 1 offs? Nope I haven't found anything. I have been going to Goody Goody on 6 when I need something on the shelf until the Total Wine opens.BQRyno said:bevokilla said:First Choice on 99?BQRyno said:

Ha! You nailed it. Know any alternatives around there? I'm going to check out the Total Wine they're putting in at 99 and Westpark once it opens, but would like to find a locally owned. Otherwise I'll start driving downtown to visit Ly's more often.
Giving up buying or drinking? Because one leaves more bottles for the rest of us to scrounge.Wheatables02 said:
Gave up alcohol for Lent. Here we go. I started a week late because it's still 40 days and 40 nights until Easter.

Right? I was picky and spent a quick 160. It's a good thing I don't live closer.

My gambling addiction finally paid off! I hit on a Powerball for an EH Taylor Barrel Proof last night
The distilleries select specific barrels/bottles for stores and put a sticker or label on the bottle with that store's name. They're basically the cream of the crop.FrioAg said:
Very much a newbie bourbon question. What is a "store pick"?
