Bought some Eagle Rare 10 for $29.99 at Twin Liquor in San Antonio. I assume that is a good buy/find as guy behind counter said-damn, I didn't know that was even out.

It's a high Rye mashbill and the spicyness and pepper is there on the front. The back end has a little vanilla. The 125 pf is not at all hot. Its definitely a nice $42 bottle.

And if we give up any more 52 yd TD runs I'm gonna pound it like colored water.

I agree, there is a lot going on up front and definitely get the pepper. I like it though

Ok gents. The massive lowball glass of 1792 full proof is gone. Do I move up the road to Stagg Jr, or drop down to OGD114? I can last longer on the OGD but the way things are headed the heavy punch of Stagg Jr might just put me down early and that could be a good thing.

Old roommates and I started with with a blanton's tasting. STFB, special reserve, original, and gold.

Moved into MWND, poor man pappy, Jeffersons old cask rum aged, and parker's Heritage 8 year malt.

I'm not a big Blanton's guy but it was interesting. I don't care for scotch either anymore.


I ranked them SFTB, Special Reserve, Original, Gold.

My buddy who is a huge scotch drinker ranked them Gold, SR, Original, STFB.

My other buddy was in the middle between us with SFTB as #1.

I spotted at Specs in Spring and they had Blanton's (edit: read Blanton's not Bookers) too.... except it was the little airplane looking bottles. I bought 2. $11 each. I'm a sucker.
