What's your favorite from the Penelope series?


I was gonna ask y'all. Had the straight bourbon at the bar. It was fine. Just bought the Architect based on positive reviews here. Have also seen others say the toasted is a solid choice.

Let me know how the architect tastes. I'm a fan of MGP.

I love Rebecca Creek 16/Spanish Oak and other MGP sourced brands. Smoke Wagon is the only one I don't like.

Hopefully it's a good one!

I don't understand the hype with Smoke Wagon. I have an almost full UCUF (which is supposed to be the better one) and it doesn't even compare to RC or most of the other stuff I have. I've tried going back to it and it doesn't get any better.

Just had my first pour. The best attribute is in its finish. Refined, and the Oak and vanilla linger a little. A smooth 104 proof. It's nice. Going back for another.

Third bourbon of the night I went with a bourbon I have been on the fence about and thought it would be good to comp against the Penelope - Redwood Empire Pipe Dream. It's probably not a fair comp because Pipe Dream is a $35 bottle and Penelope Arch was $55. But the PA is superior in every way. I give Pipe Dream an advantage on spice if that's important to you, but for me, Penelope is absolutely a step or two above.

In Houston and stopped by Longhorn Liquor. Grabbed the Astros MM badass I've been wanting one. I know I'll love the JD BP club pick but I got talked into the O.K.I. pick which I vaguely have heard about.
