If that's the OLC pick I have it! I'm not opening it tho... will be gifting it to my daughter once she's old enough... the juice in that bottle is almost the exact same age as her!

Bourbon: nose is almond, stone fruit, brown sugar, raisin/ almost Brandy like note, faint leather. Pallet is barrel spice, cherry, pecan wood. Finish is long and warm... lingers a while (fairly long)

Rye: nose is green apple, spice, leather, anise, apricot. Pallet is pine, Rye spice, pepper. Finish is leather and tannins.

I give the nod to the bourbon (mind you I'm a rye guy).

Side note: the Balcones rye seems to have opened up a little more overnight. Going to smoke a cigar and get back into it tonight.

Ok, the OF1920 is much better than their other offerings. It's one of the most balanced high proofs I've had. Sweet to go with the heat. It's a great pour at ~$50 Still would take Rare Breed at $40 if I had to pick one. Good bang for the buck though. Think they should have marketed it differently to set it apart. It's better than their statesmen.

The KC Rye Cask is a nice pour. Don't get to try too many full proof Ryes so it's a treat. Honestly though for overall flavor I'd put it behind the 100 proof EHT Rye. And at ~$70 I can't see buying it very often. At $50 (like the Kc 120) I'd pick it up a couple times a year.

I'd love to find small batch for retail. Amazing!

Because many people are dumb sheep. I bought a backup bottle of Old Tub and love it at or under $20 but I wouldn't pay over that for it.

My local specs always has a full ass shelf at $20
