For stuff that's actually on the shelf - and I have to pay for it - I'd do a $40 handle of WT101 For volume and a $40 bottle of Rare Breed.

Having a limitless supply of the full EHT lineup though would make for a nice variety.

You would be surprised how difficult to get a barrel is. I'm working with my liquor store owner who does lots of barrel picks. Most companies have their barrels sold for 2020. Our best chance currently is four roses and Russell's reserve. He is trying to get us pricing and availability. I've been talking with one of the main HBS guys just to help with the process since this is our first barrel pick. That's all the update I have currently. Keep you posted once we have more info.

This was a trip to Oregon. Had some time between protests to whiskey hunt. I could have bought cases of the EC rye and ER 1.75s. Unfortunately I only had so much room in my checked bags.

Liquor tax up here is dumb and I'm ready to jump on the Oregon liquor website and do some tracking down like that

WSR ($~30) & EHT SB ($~40)

Depends on how bad you want that EHT

I have batch 13. Traded my buddy batch 11. Its really hot (high proof) but has good flavor. Honestly Stagg Jr is not my favorite and kind of why I traded my second one.

Got some barrel pick news this week. Finally got the call and Four Roses/Russell's Reserve reps are coming into town this week and will be giving me info on picking a barrel. Due to Covid we will most likely receive samples from multiple barrels and can pick from them. Maybe in the future we can coordinate a trip and select a barrel in person. This is great news though knowing the limited availability. I am in the Houston area, so if any of you would like to partake in the barrel tasting and selection let me know. I'm thinking four or five of us can blind taste and share results.
