On Wednesday, Southern Star announced it's reopening. And apparently, that means they're open today already.
I'm told Lucky 19 is taking it over, but I've not seen that formally announced.

That's my favorite place on earth. I always do at least two boat tours while there and I'm actually hiking the trail next September. And I can sit at Ke'e Beach all day and just stare out at it. Enjoy the trip!!!
To make this beer related, I had a Muchos Machos DIPA from Isla Mujeres Brewing Company last night in Mexico. It's a good dinner spot if you're ever on the island.

Our boat caption mentioned that trail and it sounds amazing. Tough but amazing!
We did a morning cruise last year with snorkeling and an evening sunset this year. The views are breathtaking.

I love Kauai, but haven't been in years. I've done the first part of the trail and then up to Hanakpai Falls several times, but never the whole thing. Always wanted to. And agreed on Ke'e Beach.
For beer, cracked a couple of Heady's last night, poured both into a glass because I do what I want! :-)
Kauai is incredible. We hit it from all angles when we were there - boat tour, helicopter tour, and hiking. One of the most beautiful places in the world.
Similarly, I'm just back from Wichita Falls.
And the Half Pint taproom has one of the best tap lists I've seen in the state. It was shocking to discover in Wichita Falls of all places.

River beer
Wow. Just got back from Kauai (5:45 this am). We have done Napali by
hike, helicopter, and this time boat. Boat was best. Pillowtalk and The Fonz are my favorite beers from the garden island today. Best sunsets, sunrises, and moonrises on the planet on the North side, of course. Our first born was made in Kauai. Turned out good.

This was from the Grandview saloon on mt Washington … nice bar & patio, didn't eat but food looked good - if you like sushi I went next door to Otaru and it was badass

Man. You can tell that I've been out of the beer scene for too long when I almost busted a nut when I saw these on the shelf at Specs. I guess there are no lines to get these anymore?
$40 for a single occasion drink is steep, especially a beer. Would rather spend that $40 towards some wine or a bottle of liquor, personally.
