B-52 "Wheeze the Juice". Pretty solid.
We went to B-52 5 or 6 years ago.... all the beers were good. They had some great brett beers and some nice sours, pils and saisons. Went back a year or so later and they must have gotten got a free rail car of lactose. It seemed like it was in almost everything. They still had some good beers but mostly not. I cannot stomach an 8% lactose rasberry sour or an overly lactosed IPA. Never been to Taeda or Fass but will keep them on my radar.CDub06 said:
Taeda is my joint there. I saw they did a one off last weekend and they've had a couple of recent releases. I'm hoping they'll get back to the quality I was accustomed to.
Fass is doing too much awesome stuff for me to make it to B52 much anymore.

Didn't really know where or want to post this anywhere else. So forgive me this post that's very distantly tangentially beer thread related.
Back to the Eagle Scout discussion from last month. The Boy Scouts sent me an email today reminding me that it is the anniversary of me passing my Eagle Scout board of review on 2/21/1994.
Along with being a special event for me, I am reminded that my court of honor was the last time I saw my grandmother before she passed away (Eff cancer).
Cheers to my Mamaw, my fellow Eagle Scouts in this thread (Eagle Scout sons of beer threaders too), and to all of you awesome guys on beer thread.
Well now that I've finished typing this up and adding the pictures it's not 2/21 any more. Lol. Oh well.
Thank you all for this great community we have.

People can hate CA for plenty of legitimate reasons, but beer, beaches and weather aren't among them.
You can say the same thing about New Hampshire.... errr except for the weather part.... unless you only count May-Octsteve00 said:

Working in California and living in Texas gives me the best of both

Ha, I was actually thinking bissel brothers earlier when I bought this (Burlington beer co), still pretty solid though. Took a chance with no timestamp on the bottom of the cans and won on this gamble, I've been burned in the past (looking at you front range)
Any idea who distributes Burlington Beer to College Station?La Fours said:
I think Burlington stamps the label near the bottom left corner. But it's been hard to find/read on the cans we get in College Station.

So I think a $25 buy in seems to be a solid option. Will obviously post more details later… but we generally get about 20 signups which is about $500 total. Maybe split $400 for 1st and $100 for 2nd. Shipping will eat into those costs a little bit, but it'll still be a lot of awesome beer. I'm also spending a week in Madison in June… so that will help round out a box.
