My SIL and BIL are driving down from Nashville next Saturday for Christmas. I was going to have them mUle some Southern Grist. Anything in particular I should ask for? Anything else from Nashville (even just grocery store beer? TheY should grab?

SG is always putting out new stuff. Not everything is canned into 4-packs, but they do have crowlers.

Their berry sours are so good and what I would recommend if available. Names change some.

Loud Whispers is great if they offer it when there. Also Noise Pollution. You really can't go wrong with any of their beers, IMO. Mixed Greens is the constant rotating IPA. If they're able to get a bottle of stout then do that too, but I think the bottles are always gone very fast once released.

I personally love Blackberry Farm Brewery and the saisons and beers they put out. Can get them in the local beer shops. Rhinegeist out of Cincinnati is available there, great canned beers. Bearded Iris is good and may be suggested. Just get one beer of theirs though, they do the NEIPA well but that's like all they put out and all their beer tastes very similar.

That's a damn fine evening right there.

Anyone wanna buy some old BCBS and other beers? I just don't drink a lot and these have been sitting here. Half off retail is how I tried to price them.

Solid timing with the once a year WeldWerks drop in Minneapolis for the Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine Festival.

Smoked beers matter. People should be drinking more of this style! This one is from SF brewery Fort Point. They can some great stuff.

There's a newish brewery out of Grapevine called "Hop and Sting" that is putting together some really solid beers. Their "Northeast Texas IPA" is really good. They just released a bourbon-barrel aged version of their espresso imperial stout called "Frigid Underworld" that's excellent as well. Well worth the pick up if you happen to catch them on the shelf.

Thought they pulled in and started only doing taproom beers, no distribution. (That may have changed. That whole timeline and evolution is interesting to say the least).

That I don't know, but it would make sense considering they're turning out several beers already. They started showing up in cans at my local Market Street about 3-4 months ago.
