I've seen those barrels in Alpine for quite some time now. Really wish they made it to CS.

We drove by the old brewery in Alpine on saturday. I was a bit sad we didn't get to stop.

It appears the only place you can find bottles at the moment is the Hotel Havana bar on the Rivwrwalk in SA. Which is hillarious because that is my wife and I's absolute favorite spot to get a drink (or 3) when we are in SA... "Hey honey... you wanna drive to SA real quick...?"

Also, beer guy was talking to the distributer while I was shopping today. It's gonna be super limited. My beer guy managed a case... Apparently they are releasing one more barrel aged beer in Feb as well.

Edit: after some digging on Twitter it's limited to 612 bottles. Also... apparently some jimmies are rustled about the resemblance to Bourbon County and Big Bend gives zero ****s.

I don't see how it resembles bourbon county other than having the word county in the name. pretty sure BCBS doesn't even have a label sans the little tag on the neck of the bottle.

For everyone that went in on my prairie beer I will have a longer post probably on Sunday with details about everything. Most like I will try to group people but location to just send big boxes to one person in each city to cut back on shipping. Not including TA I already have like 30 boxes I have to pack and ship.

I swear when I toured St. A back in like 2011, they had sixers for sale.


Other states have idiosyncrasies too. Only since Jan 1 of 2019, CO now has beer on the shelves of grocery stores. We had the ol 3.2 law, and 99.999% of craft breweries don't bother with creating 3.2, so it was basically BMC.
