Harv a VERY average ipa at a random pub in London this afternoon. While England has some great craft beer a lot of their other breweries are pretty spare. Really just a different palate I guess.

I had about half an hour to kill so I grabbed a pint and sat down at a picnic table on the sidewalk. Two of the smelliest homeless people I've ever encountered came and sat down at the table with me because, "They just need a spell for 5 minutes." They might have been foul smelling but they were still enjoying a cup of tea in a tea cup.

I love England.

Did you check the laser codes on the side? I'm curious to know why one is red and one black, when the tops usually change with the age (15, 20, 23 year)

Black is 2016 and red is 2017. Buffalo Trace made a mistake and accidentally put red foil on the 15 year bottles in 2017.

CBC was in Nashville this week, needless to say there was an overwhelming amount of events going on around town. Unfortunately I had a cold for a few days so I didn't get to do as much as I wanted to.

Tried making up for it a bit today. Cool thing that a lot of local breweries did was to introduce a bunch of guest taps. There were also a lot of collab beers released around town. Between earlier this week and today I got to try some beer from a wide spread of places, some of which I had never heard of or seen:

I think my favorite 2 beers were from those last two on the list, Mad Fat Fluid (IPA) from Interboro and Comik Debris (imperial IPA) from Creature Comforts. Honestly though everything was very good.

Side note: Jester King did a collaboration brew with Bearded Iris that I am mad that I'm going to miss out on it whenever it is released, whatever it is! Many visiting brewers did collab brews with local places for beers to be had both this week and in the coming weeks and months.

Yeah pretty much what I thought. Might be better off trading for $ on beer then paying for the bourbon.

Anyone been to and/or have recommendations for Columbia, SC? Here this week for work.

I just loaded up at a bottle shop in Tunbridge Wells, England to mule back for myself,dallasaggie2012 and my college roommate who apparently has a brewery in Netherlands named after him. Not sure how I'm gonna get all this home...
