Redhorn and Pinthouse are both killing the NE IPA game right now. I'd say I'd prefer what Pinthouse is doing, but Redhorn is a close second.
Depending on the dates of the festival, I may try and go. My son's Boy Scout Troop is thinking about going to summer camp in Colorado. So if the festival is the week before or the week after I'm going to try and make it.
So at this point, do we just assume Bookman is dead?

My name is Bryan and I .... have an addiction. Supposed to be saving for Disney but my great wife let me replenish my kinda low stock. Last weekend and this weekend haul. She likes beer and Christmas and was given the option of a sixer or the Magnum. Said fug it and chose the magnum. So that explain that.

Well. I'm alive after the visit to Vermont. Barely. Great IPAs up in NE. Seriously fantastic breweries.
Fresh Heady Topper and Focal Banger on tap at The Alchemist was definitely a highlight. I think I might have liked Focal Banger more.
Hill Farmstead was my favorite of the trip. Great beers and beautiful scenery.
Lost Nation was surprisingly great. Their Gose is obviously very well known but they had some great IPAs as well. They had a version of the Gose that was dry hopped and had added blueberries that was fantastic.
The haul pic:
The scenery and the leaves were awesome. The warm weather held on just enough for us that there was still some amazing colors. Pictures don't really do it justice.

We were out in Sugar Land getting some stuff from my folks and decided to hit up the new Texas Leaguer brewery in Stafford. Their IPA was good, their Bock was really good. My wife had the pale Belgian and thought it was fantastic.
I think they're trying to just make good solid crush able beers without getting too fancy. I'd say they're off to a good start.

Anyone tried this Bruery/Jester King collaboration?
Had this Troegs beer yesterday in Pennsylvania. Good, big IPA (really a double IPA I think).
They are in the Hershey, PA area if you're ever around. Some of the group was able to hit up the brewery, but I did not get into town early enough to join. They said it was fun and a local staple.
Troegs is a very cool place.
Anyone other than me, pwonk, and jah gonna be at the game Saturday?
