Star bar is pretty cool. Actually reminds me of some of the bars back in Minot, minus the quality beer. Dragons milk, duet, & rockstar here

Looks like a great morning, La Fours. I had some of the Here Gose Nothing last night. Really solid. Just had a Counter Clockweisse from the same series this evening. Really sour take on a Berliner, but I liked it.
Yessir. It was a lot of fun. I am hoping that specs will get the Berliner soon. Wanting to try it as well.

As for the Destihl Gose, I enjoyed it once i got past the nose which was straight cheese.

That's a shame. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Split a bottle with DallasAggie on Friday night. It seemed to have quite a bit more heat on it this year compared to what I remember from last year. But that heat is why I like this variant so much. Think you got a bad batch or something?

It definitely wasn't for me. They did a good job of capturing authentic mole flavors. I just didn't think it was good in a beer.

Prairie (wine barrel) noir is showing up around Houston. picked up two while at Bunker Hill HEB over lunch getting other necessities. It was just sitting on the make your own 6 pack shelf. Also was running $3 cheaper than Specs.

We just dumped a batch of Gose at Weldwerks. Gose is simple, but kettle souring, assuming that's their method, takes the right equipment and a little experience. Didn't plan quite properly for souring in the boil kettle and couldn't completely shut off the exhaust. Too much oxygen was present and isovaleric acid (Parmesian cheese/stinky feet off flavor) took over.

Friend of mine is moving from Seabrook to Katy this fall and instead of hauling this behemoth across town he gave it to me.
Also gave me the broken wine cooler that's supposed to go here, I might use it for more storage if I can't fix it.
