I'm really digging this st arnolds 5 o clock pils right now. it's exactly what I look for in a pilsner, with a great spicy hop bite, without being so much that it starts getting to be more of an ipl or something. this just might be my new go to for the style.

best deal in the house at Opal Divine's in Austin on wednesdays. For some reason, its included in the $3 texas beer pint nite. Most high abvs are not included...i guess b/c its a "standard" real ale beer.

I work in round rock, but i WFH tues-thurs and live at 183/620.

Places in the area I tend to go (non-breweries):

- BB Rovers
- Whole Foods Draft Shack
- Opal's
- Dig Pub
- Redhorn

not all those are right off 183, but none are terribly far

Also have:
-Whitestone
-ABW
-Adelberts
-4th Tap
- Circle
- Oskar Blues (in 7 days)

i'm sure i'm forgetting some.

I work in Steiner, but I live off 620 between Hatch and El Salido. AggieOO mentioned the majority of the solid places in the area. I've been frequenting Oasis brewing lately. It's on my way home, nobody is ever there, and the view is killer.

In terms of purchasing beer... Lakeline HEB is my go to. Gianluca (beer and wine manager) is a cool dude. He'll ask me what beers he should bring in and then make it happen.

thanks again to those who mentioned tree house doesn't list cans for sale til wednesdays. otherwise my trading partner never would have gone out there. but because he did, I've got 3 cans of Julius and 3 cans of sap heading my way as of today. I can't wait

My lousy Coors Lite drinking roommates have broken three of my glasses this year, two of them from different breweries and one of them a crystal to class. I don't have very many of them at all, so those things were sacred to me. They broke them just drinking orange juice or something stupid like that, too.

i have WAY too many too.

i always forget to take my extras back to ABW. they give you a trophy for turning in your glasswear. I don't want to the trophy either, but i need to take probably 15-20 ABW glasses back there.

We cleaned out our pint glass cabinet to make room for baby bottles and accessories over the weekend. Keeping a handful, but we got rid of 96 pint glasses.
