I can't recommend Fremont Brewing in Seattle enough. By far our favorite place we went in Seattle. They should have The Sister Imperial IPA now and it is fantastic.

Do u know if de garde is kid friendly? This is going to be a family trip for us, I'm just trying to decide whether to drag everyone out to Tillamook or just find a day to go out there on my own.

Looks like the 2015 Hibernal Dichotomus has hit Dallas. Picked up a bottle in McKinney today. Big change from last year - no watermelon, spearmint, or lavender. Replaced by beets, orange, and thyme.

Ha, i was thinking grapefruit juice, but fortunately it tastes nothing like any of those. More like montmorency cherries for days with some funk.

I'm honestly not quite sure. Asked a friend who was out there recently and he said he thinks they are family friendly but he isn't 100% sure either. I'd give them a call or an e-mail to be safe.

Let me know what you find out - our baby is getting old enough now to handle a day trip out to the coast.

That stinks, I know my sister in law and her family want to take us to the beach at some point, hopefully they'll want to go towards Tillamook and I can sneak off to the brewery, otherwise I'll just rent a car and head out there on my own for an afternoon

I wouldn't classify Community's Mosaic as hidden so I would say try these if you haven't already:
Anything by Peticolas
I dig the Imperial Texan by Martin House
Dankasaurus by Cedar Creek

I suppose what I should say is that other than the BBA legion every other beer I've had from the DFW market have been pretty meh at best, especially the Rahr & sons stuff. Although, I have yet to try the BBA temptress. Wasn't a huge fan of the blood and honey either from what I remember.

Tropicalia is a killer beer! Everything by Creature Comforts is great. I would love for them to get distro to Texas somehow, because they are definitely blowing up. They did a Brett IPA called Southerly Love that was just phenomenal.
