I think anything from 0-5 is definitely good. I have a few stouts in my fridge that jah gave me a few years back. Need to open those!

Some of you may remember MY POST about a month ago about the infected bottle of Samuel Smith's Yorkshire Stingo. Recall that the Rep from Merchant du Vin apologized and said she would send me a replacement bottle. Well the package arrived this morning. TWO bottles plus some swag, a sticker and a wooden bottle opener. Props to them for standing behind their product.

That's awesome. I did the same thing with Oskar Blues a while back when they obviously canned the wrong beer. They sent me an apology and a ton of swag.
Meanwhile I pretty much have boycotted 512 because they bottled an infected beer, I called them on it and they basically told me it was supposed to be that way. Great way to lose a customer for life.

I have a '14 and '19 Bigfoot that I plan to give my daughters when they turn 21.
BCBS is not nearly as fun to age now that it is pasteurized. Used to really change over the years but not so much anymore.

One of the stouts I still have on hand is the Pinthouse jaguar shark(?) bottle. 2022 maybe? Think I may crack it open finally when we get colder or rainier weather again.

I had the same experience with Santa Fe Brewing and their barrel aged barley wine. I bought one at the brewery, opened it at home, and then called to let them know it was infected. The guy told me they were aware, and they released it intentionally. Last thing I've bought from them.

Popped this beer Saturday and really enjoyed it. I'm not typically a fan of the milder Ale's but this one was really good.
I'm curious how you define a milder ale. What would be a good example of one?
Lunch is a straight up IPA at 7% alcohol. I agree that it is very good, but I don't think I've ever heard anyone describe it as a milder ale.

I say it's milder due to it not being very hop forward and it drinking almost like that miller lite behind it. Definitely a finesse IPA. Not a knock at all, it's a great beer. I personally prefer the treehouse IPA's at 8.2 and a little punch to it. I have a dinner that I need to drink that will probably be a little more my jam.
Pretty solid barrel aged stout. It's not the best I've had, but I have a soft spot for Brooklyn Brewery from back in the day when I was getting into craft beer.
I haven't had a black ops in probably close to 10 years, when they were still bottling them in the 750ml.
I remember doing a tasting at the brewery around 2010 and then being really into Local 1 and Local 2 in the 750ml bottles for a while.
I just checked Untappd and my last check in was December 2013.

I have a soft spot for Brooklyn Brewery bc I spent many, many Fridays there when I lived in Brooklyn 15+ years ago.
That's cool. The vibe of the taproom was fun, but I only went there 3-4 times. I lived on the Upper West Side around 2010, so it was like an hour on the subway to get there. Bottles and cans were easy to find all over town though, and Brooklyn Lager was on tap at most bars/restaurants.

while good, i was/am a bigger fan of Tank 7.
I was in NYC from 2005-late 2011. for about 3 years of that, I was in williamsburg one stop away, or a long walk to the brewery. Last time I was over there, I barely recognized the area.
My current favorite Hazy and triple Hazy IPAs. Mostly because they are in the fridge and we're out of Emilio.
We find these regularly at both Central Markets in Austin.

Saw this at Whole Foods today. I've never seen it for sale before outside of the brewery. Had to grab some 4-packs along with my usual Sip so I'll be stocked through the storm.
Dang. Good find! Still bummed that is the one place we didn't visit when we were in the area. (Hotel had cans, and we did try it.)

It is one of the better tasting room experiences. Great building, nice outdoor area, good food. I like it a lot better than the vibe at Alchemist, even though Alchemist has come a long way in the last 5 years.

There is a beer store in Seabrook just across the state line on Rt1 called The City that in the past has had that on the regular. You should check them out.
