Man my little suburb town just exploded in growth the last year in the restaurant/drinking establishment realm. We had like 12 restaurants/bars open in the last 6 months or something. And now all of this... I doubt they will all be back open after the 30 day ban is lifted. Lots of advertising on local fb group pages to do pickup or delivery so they can survive.. but the alcohol only places are SOL.

Beer to Go will hopefully keep some of these places alive.
Turning Point in Bedford is only doing to go cans and automatically charging you a 15% up charge for their staff to get paid. Plus the rent at Turning Point has to be dirt cheap.
Compare that to Four Corners in Dallas with their really large and nice property. They make **** beer. I bet they're gone unless their store sales are just through the roof.

Buddy of mine owns a tap room Highlands Ranch and they must not be able to do beer to go right now. They're doing some lobbying to get that added so they can try and make it through this.
They had already announced in January that they were closing down the San Diego location. This may have hastened the closing, but it was already in the works. Rent probably got too high in that neighborhood.

Wine can be, however. As long as restaurant opens and recorks it, they can sell it to you to go.

A distributor (crooked stave) is selling unopened kegs, presumably from their stock but maybe from some of their accounts, to the public. The caveat is, you prepay and pick a liquor store to pick it up from. While this is kegs and not individual pours or growlers, it is allowing public to buy beer to go from a non producer.

Interesting loophole. This is the one area where Texas got it right. And I'm kind of surprised by that.
