Picked up a couple of bcbs at the heb on Westheimer and Kirkwood as well as a smoke on the Bayou . I don't t think I've had that since one night I went to a very bizarre art show at the brewery shortly after they opened and had about 7 of them which resulted in a fairly unpleasant hangover.

The label says something about caramel and somesuch. Are they doing varietals with them now or is that just the regular offering

I'm currently enjoying a very old Ranger ipa that has been in the fridge for months. I didn't like the first 5 that I had back this spring, but this one is actually pretty good. Need to get back to scouts with dinner here in a bit.

Not sure, but I think that's just the regular recipe for it. I picked up that smoke on the bayou, very hopefully, and I I thought it was pretty rough. I really liked Buffalo bayou when they got started, but they seem a little too focused on this "most creative" brewery ideal and forgot about just making good beer.

Side note: anyone have Bells Black Note? Tried getting a bottle earlier this week but the store ran out quick :/

Missed it on the other side of the river here last Friday. One store got 24 bottles and they were gone within the hour of opening. NE didn't get any

I have pretty good access to their regular stuff and some seasonal releases, but damn that Black Note went quick. I had never heard of it before.

Drank one of mine a few nights ago. Damn tasty.

Was at oskar blues tonight in Austin. Wondering if they'll get to the point where they have stuff on draft besides the mainstays. We were at ABW before that, and one of the things I love about that place is that they always have "brewery only" stuff on draft. As a side note, looks like the new taproom is getting super close to completion.
