Yeah. I'm in wait-and-see mode. Not convinced the new model will really make a big difference. I always thought the idea that the top players don't play enough together was overblown. There were about 15 tourneys that pretty much all the top guys played every year. I suspect the new model may get slightly better fields for a couple events but it'll be negligible. And now the off weeks are guaranteed to have no household names in them. Don't know that I love that tradeoff.

The PGA Tour is still going to the same tournaments in 2028 that it has been doing for years such as WMO, API, The Memorial, Harbour Town, etc. There will be a few changes by the PGA Tour along the way. LIV golf didn't change professional golf much at all despite spending billions of dollars.

The only real change was it proved the tour could wring a few more millions out of their sponsors so guys who made 20 million can now make 30 million. I guess that's something but i just don't see this as some great accomplishment.

Yeah, I think the end result will be more spare tournaments. I also think it's going to have some stops and sponsors reconsidering being involved at all. Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. They need to tread carefully here.
