Sure. His rough proximity is promising, though. So in the off chance he misses a fairway, he's better than most from the rough.

That's true. One can hope, though.

They were brilliant to do a "creator day" and bring out all the big channels to go play in tournament conditions from the tips. You get the gamut from average joes to really could golfers going out there and showing what it looks like to play the hardest tournament in golf when you're not in the top 2% in the world at golf. Here are some of my favorites so far (Don't judge me. Been grinding late at night at work and these videos have all made for some excellent background noise, ha):

I would agree, except that between all those guys, you can watch a top level pro, a former pro, an aspiring pro, a scratch, a decent golfer, and an average joe go play and put into context what the best in the world do out there. Heck, Trent from Foreplay runs a series called "Break 85" and he's gonna go play it from the tips. Perry cool imo

The other issue is over time they all just aggregate to the douchy middle. Less and less separate them because they begin playing nice to the powers that be for the access. I can't really watch any of it any more. Not that I watched a ton of it to begin with.

As for the actual tournament, I can't wait for this weekend. Oakmont might be my favorite US Open course there is. And coming off a course stinker at Quail I'm very excited for this major. Hope the course rips these guys a new *******.

Like #9 at the Campus Course

Been watching the broadcast for all of 2 hours and I'm already beyond tired of these announcers constantly feeling the need to remind us that par is really good, you're going to have some bogeys and you just need to avoid double and worse.

We get it.

The afternoon wave is going to be fun to watch...I think the course is starting to show its teeth.

That sequence on 12 really showed the course level difficulty. Xander's ball wouldn't stop and just kept rolling for days. Bryson and Ballester's tee shots nearly identical but one rolls to heavy and one rolls to the first cut. This track is a beating and I love it.

and then Bryson skys it from rough to rough.

Those putts from Ballester and Bryson were impressive to say the least
