I think what is blowing me away are the amount of missed shots from good lies in the fairway. I get the greens are fast but there have been so many outright missed greens from good spots. I guess that it is just the mental grind of the whole round?

Unrelated to any of the participants, but this track is
something to be seen. The elevation changes, the old school Open rough and tough greens. I was surprised at the width of the fairways, however. They are wider than I expected. I'd probably break 200 at this place, lol.

Looks like rain most of Saturday morning. Course will soften.

And rough will get more nasty

Course played tough today. Hope it continues to hold up over the weekend.

Very surprising when these guy would pitch out from the rough and have 105 left from fairway. They would go at these tucked flags and miss in the very wrong spot, guaranteed doubled. Take your medicine, don't ruin your round.

And now they're yapping for like 3 minutes debating the clothes and matching colors of golfers.

I'm starting to think they do this on purpose. Its like some years back when they played at Chambers Bay and they couldn't shut up about the train.

I admit. I don't watch much golf. Mainly the US Open and British Open are the only two. Yes, I have Masters fatigue.

But are the announcers always as bad as this US open? I don't remember them being as bad as this broadcast or maybe I was better at tuning them out in the past.

Everything is so over the top and repeated over and over. I love this course but they are about to make me hate it.

The old guy on the left is so annoying, if I saw him out tonight, I might punch him.
