I'm going tomorrow with a friend. Looks like they tee off at 12:15. Haven't looked in detail yet as to when the gates open but I'd like to get there an hour or so before they tee off.

Opportunity might have just opened up to allow me to get out there Friday, otherwise trying for Sunday.

Saturday is SR + Mexico/Brazil.

our weekend plans opened up so we are thinking about what all to do. stay home and do LIV.....maybe go hit SR....maybe soccer match at kyle....maybe fishing

certainly would be cool to meet up with fellow Ag, have some beers and watch golf

Is parking free? There is no place where I can find to buy a parking pass. The website just say this, "Guests with tickets in Gallery Club, Birdie Shack, and Grounds Passes will have access to park in the General Parking Lot. 5455 Redstone View, Humble, TX 77396."

With the heat as it is can we bring an umbrella along for shade?

Was there today for volunteer training and we were told to park in the general parking lot all weekend and there is no charge. Everything on all of the parking lot maps shows general parking to be complementary.

The map says lots open at 9:00 and gates open at 10:00.

The entire event looks to be very fan friendly. Should be a good (although hot) time.

walked the entire course about 3-4 weeks ago with my son while he played. It was in really good shape then. While the storms we have gotten once a week for a while were very damaging for some, they were perfect for the course. Big soaking rains spread out by several days.

escalante has to love it....big fat payday from the saudi's desperate to host more events in the US.....very little additional expense for course maintenance.....and this tourney didn't require overseed which just hurt the course after the houston open each year

For sure. LIV / PGA has their own agronomist that goes out there to inspect the course I'm make sure it's firm / soft where required. They shut it down from the public on Sunday and with mowing every day and the condition it's in, they've been completely hands off from a micro managing stand point. They're doing a great job!

We will be there Sunday in the birdie shack off 16. Hopefully it's worth it!

The broadcast is still so damn hard to watch. So much stuff going on in the picture. Doesn't even seem like watching golf, more like a series of highlights just rattled off rapid fire.

Can you hear the music all over the place, or only a couple of holes?

You can hear it at all the holes, but more at greens and where tee off.

YEP - played nine this morning. Was able to get off at 9:00, so it wasn't too bad. But car showed it was 97 on the drive home.

Was in the birdie shack today. Get there early to make sure you have a good viewing spot in the shade. And get ready to wait 30 minutes in line for a drink.

It's a fine comp. It's a professional tournament in Houston.

And if you want an "elevated" comp… Patrick Rodgers, Andrew Putnam, Kurt Kitiyama, Adam Schenk… let's be honest, after the top 15-20 there's not a lot of needle movers in pro golf.

For those that went today, other than the heat which is expected... Did you have a good time? How were parking logistics, etc? Looking forward to trying to get out there Sunday
