Absolutely not. One, it wouldn't be good for his reputation and second, I seriously doubt he could win.
My bet is ultimately the DA and Scottie will agree to a driving violation, he pays a fine and the world moves on. It keeps the police department and their allies from saying he is totally getting away with it because of his fame and Scottie won't care about a fine and a driving violation.
I don't think he sues but I also don't think he agrees to plea to anything. And if the story about the first cop's direction holds, he shouldn't.
Saw his interview. Handled it like the pro he is. Very complimentary of the police

Wow, LMPD not dropping charges, "letting the legal process" proceed. The press conference this morning was to acknowledge that the officer did not have his Body cam on.
Just a ridiculous move. LMPD could score huge goodwill points, set up a PC with Scheffler and get great public relations points. But no....they have no sense public perception.

That was a worthless press conference. Not sure why they even held it. No real information was provided and the only thing I took from it is none of those people looked up to the task. Clown show.

Yep. Almost felt like a Saturday Night Live skit. You would've thought they were talking about investigating the FBI's Most Wanted. So grave. So serious. All about a traffic mishap by a squeaky clean suspect.
I thought it was weird they didn't show the videos at the press conference. Well, now it's obvious why. While poor quality, the videos show Scottie roll about 10 feet while the cop jogs beside. Scottie then stops. Doesn't appear the cop was struck by the car or that he ever hit the ground. No idea how his approximately $80 pants were ruined beyond repair unless he crapped them.

Sorry for taking this political but I'm having a hard time understanding why they would pursue this if it's only about Scottie. Louisville has had some racially charged police issues in recent years. If I was guessing, they are worried about the backlash if they drop the charges against a wealthy white guy.

Yep. Feeling that way so far for sure. A cop lost his temper and now they are afraid to back off.
I hope the "trial" ends with Scottie's only punishment being the requirement to buy him new $80 pants

We're seeing the very tail end. Presumably after the cop fell down, got back up, and chased down the car.
