First Ryder Cup ever where I looked at both rosters and thought the Euros had the best talent beforehand. The top tier US talent has been very meh in 2023.

It probably wouldn't have changed. It was on the 16th and he was down 1. 99% chance Fleetwood makes it. But with that much pressure, you make him make it.

So him conceding the putt didn't cost the US the cup. It just officially eliminated them from any chance of winning.

The ryder cup captaincy is a bit of a "be careful what you wish for" job. ZJ will always have his majors, but this is gonna stain the legacy a bit.
