I just have no idea hiw you roll Spieth out there this afternoon. It screams buddy-buddy "i need to give my guy a chance to get the monkey off his back" captaincy vs "we need to do whatever it takes to win"

You realize his partner was a captains pick too, right? You know the one that's making JT play 1 v 2 today.
I mean, JT was the best American on the course yesterday.Woodan99 said:

I just don't get picking a struggling JT this year. These guys feed off each other and can enhance each other's play.aggiebonzo said:JT not playing bad. Has been on an island all day with Spieth's poor play.Woodan99 said:

Don't disagree and I wouldn't have sent Speith back out but it's Monday morning QBing to a degree. We all wanted more Brooks and he crapped the bed this morning. Trotting out Burns and Morikawa in the first group looked like suicide and they were our best group today. Just hard to know what anyone is going to do.

Not with Spieth….he played awful Friday, Saturday morning, and now Saturday afternoon

I hear you. I would have sat him too. Just pointing out you could have made the same argument for Burns, Morikawa and Harman. And if any of them had played bad today, people would no doubt be making those arguments. But they didn't, so people aren't.
Basically, it all seems to be hindsight. Play good, smart pairing. Play bad, terrible pairing. Regardless of what they did beforehand.

I really like Paul McGinley as an analyst, ever since he joined the "Live From" team. He has been a great listen. Always enjoy his perspective and analysis. Seems like a really good guy.

I think the big difference with Spieth is he is hitting it off the planet
Definitely that way I see it. Probably a couple people that don't want to be there. Cantlay leading that charge.$90M said:Woodan99 said:

He was the best tee to green by far. He missed a few putts, but and still posted 5 birdies.AgLA06 said:Buck Compton said:I mean, JT was the best American on the course yesterday.Woodan99 said:
