Everyone loves to dump on Rory over not having more majors and compare him to guys like Brooks. Brooks is the outlier in that comparison, not Rory. Rory has been consistently great his entire career. He's been outside of the top 10 in the world at most a handful of times in the past 15 years. He has multiple Tour Championships. He's spent a considerable amount of time as the #1 golfer in the world and finished more seasons #1 than anyone in the post-Tiger era. He could retire tomorrow and have a amazing legacy in the sport and he's 34.

He stood up for for the PGA and got backstabbed by the people he fought for. It sucks and IMO he deserves a little slack for how he's been treated over it all. It's perhaps fair to say he made a bad choice saddling up to a crappy horse but at least he stood for something instead of nothing. Jay and the Board were getting steamrolled after running the tour complacently and made a conscious choice to backstab the guy sticking up for the players when they wouldn't and couldn't properly. Jay is the loser POS here, not Rory. Greg can eat a dick too.
