This isn't the problem today. You can quibble over a couple guys/pairings if you want, but the issue today is every Euro is beating the brakes off of every American. Simple as that.

And I'll edit to add-the last guy to make the Euro team is currently whipping Scheffler and Koepka's asses. When that happens, there's really nothing that can be done.


Maybe not today, but I still think it's a problem. They also talked this week about how much influence Tiger Woods has behind the scenes. He was a terrible Ryder Cup player and doesn't have a clue about team golf. Him and maybe a few others with influence need to be kept away from the Ryder Cup team.

It's not out of the question. We are two up in one match. Spieth and Thomas are playing well and SS/BK have won two holes in a row.

I've never liked the US's chances and wasn't surprised to wake up to see us way behind right away. But lots of golf to be played. Pretty sure the girls swept the opening session in the Solheim Cup and lost.

Just saying we aren't dead yet. Maybe this will turn out to be a good session.

No not impossible. Would be tough (and I don't think they would have much of a chance) but it would definitely be possible. Lots of golf left. Still almost 75% of the points on the board after today.

No not impossible. Would be tough (and I don't think they would have much of a chance) but it would definitely be possible. Lots of golf left. Still almost 75% of the points on the board after today.

Go 5-3 tomorrow and then you are down 7-9 going in to singles. Win singles 7-5 and you retain the cup. Would be a tough hill to climb for sure but by no means impossible.

Agreed. Those are our most fierce competitors, need to play them from here on out and sit Burns. He can go enjoy time with his wife in Rome

The "boys clubs" were JT and Burns. JT has probably played best of all the Americans. Burns not great in one match. Plenty of Americans who qualified or were no brainer picks haven't played well. I just don't think that's been the Americans problems, even without considering the European play.

I went and looked at the BMW leaderboard from last week. 9 of Europe's 12 were in the top 20. 7 were top 10 with 3 of them top 5. Europe's players were playing really well coming into this.

I wish Bryson somehow made it.

But we have what we have, so all that matters is who is out there now. Without a doubt, you have to get it to at worst 5.5 to 2.5. But 5 to 3 would be awesome. Can Scheffler/Koepka do it?
