I created a spreadsheet of the days and which TexAgs folks drew tickets incase anyone wants to meet up and to share bars/restaurants that they liked. Hope we can have atleast a few classic TexAgs hookups.
Thanks for doing that - for those of us going to the ANWA I'm wondering if there will be less people on site and will it be easier that the following week for the Masters.

Either way, there should be a number of ATM logos at AN this year.

EDIT: Also, I'd be interested if anyone wants to group up for a round at Palmetto. I'd be a single so I'm not sure if I can just sign up like that or if they only book foursomes.

If anyone is toting their wife along - take a look at the Twelve Oaks B&B in Convington - about 45 East of Atlanta and 1 hour West of Augusta.

My wife went with me last year and we stayed here - really nice place that will score points with the Mrs....not a buddy trip type of place though.

I went to ANWA this year and there were plenty of hotel options at normalish prices available not long before the event. I think I booked a hotel in Augusta a month before and it was $250 or something.

0fer. Lucked out with practice rounds in 2017 and 2018, so I'm basically never expecting my number to come up again. But happy I got what I did.

Had a similar experience where some availability for a bit cheaper popped up in January. More like $250 like you said vs $400 that we'd booked

For those looking for different ideas, we stayed in Athens one year. About 80 miles from Augusta and a very nice collegiate golf course. Consistently rated one of the top 25-30 college courses in the country and top 10 overall public in GA

The fact that this should be a thread where everyone posts their rejections yet has somehow turned into the Masters meet-up thread for all the winners irks me to no end.

In all seriousness, my only tip is if you want to put a chair down on the back 9 (and in particular, 16), I recommend going in the south entrance. There's a concrete path off the left that leads to the crosswalk across no. 5. 16 is right there when you cross. We got chairs on the front row on the water doing this in 2017.

My wife just tried to tell me I'd have to go another year because the 8th is the total solar eclipse in the hill country. Our draw was for practice tickets on the 9th. I have never laughed so hard. My trip just turned into a guys only trip.

Just booked my rooms on ft Gordon. Not as cheap as I thought they'd be but still significantly less than anywhere else in town.
I'm stoked, first time going. Probably gonna fly DEN-ATL and drive in from there, unless there's a better option that's not double the price.
