Can someone explain what happened with that provisional shot on 18 and what a provisional shot is? My 1 year old was screaming and I couldn't hear the broadcast.

If you think your ball is lost/OB off the tee, you hit a provisional (which would be your third shot) that you will use if you can't find your ball. It prevents you from going and looking for it, not finding it, then having to go back to the tee anyway. If you find you first ball, the. You just pick the provisional up.

Rahm yanked his shot way left into the trees. If it's lost, he has to retee. So he hit another one just in case. Ends up not mattering or counting since it was found

Some alternate kid on the A&M golf team was probably feeling pretty good about getting a chance to play tomorrow since Sam just wrapped up a long weekend in Augusta. That dream was shat upon.

Or maybe they all get to play. I have no idea how college golf works.

Pretty good tournament

Loved every bit of it for Sam. Dude showed some real balls and extremely proud of him.

Looking back Rahm won this tournament with his play yesterday in the horrible conditions. That performance with the majority of the field struggling put him in a really good position today.
